Lovely well baked Bread so much nicer than baked Bread from supermarkets. Chocolate Eclairs,Carrot Cake, Sausage Rolls and Cheese Pasties are really nice, and the Teacakes are exceptional. Friendly and pleasant service and very reasonably priced.

Choc Brownie I was told was top knot h by my son. My wife really enjoyed her short bread. Lovely pleasant girl served us in the shop.
Great Bakery and you should visit it if in Stamford. Very traditional. If they did serve tea and coffee to take away would be icing on the cake
SteveLovely little bakery shop in Stamford. Buy your bread here rather than the processed stuff you get in supermarkets. They often sell slightly more unusual things like lardy cakes and milk rolls. Also a great selection of cakes and treats.
Had 3 cakes - Swiss Roll, Lemon Drizzle and a Battenburg. All were fantastic, moist and well made. All in all a superb selection of cakes. Certainly will be having these again. I would have added pictures but my staff wolfed the lot in record time.
Stopped off on way from Lincoln to London and bought 2 loaves. Better by far than all the fancy bakeries in London! Wish it were closer or that there was a good old fashioned bakery in London that made bread this good!
Enjoyed Asker's bread and cakes for twenty plus years. MOVE to Wales and still look forward to receiving Eccles cakes from time to time. Nothing better on the market.. Keep it up, this is the fourth generation of bakers and long may they last Gerhard (An old customer)
You will never find an old fashioned bakers like asker's any more bread still baked in a coal fired oven and everything hand made , love their old fashioned lardy bread especially

Wow.... popped in for a snack with my husband today ... I had a very large sausage roll which was the best I have ever tasted ....... would go back their ....

Always visit this traditional bakery when I'm in Stamford. Excellent bread and cakes.
